About Lisa S.
Lisa S. Johns built her legal foundation at the University of Memphis, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations in 1997. She continued her studies at the University of Mississippi School of Law and received her J.D. in 2000. Those years of study set the stage for a career rooted in courtroom work and civil litigation.
After law school, Johns entered private practice and has worked as a lawyer at Nahon, Saharovich & Trotz Personal Injury Lawyers. She practices primarily in the southeastern federal and state courts, holding admission in Tennessee and Mississippi. Her federal admissions include the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and district courts in the Western District of Tennessee and both the Southern and Northern Districts of Mississippi.
At the firm, Johns handles cases that move through discovery, motion practice and trial preparation. She represents individuals in personal injury matters and other civil claims. Her work involves drafting pleadings, preparing experts, arguing motions and presenting cases before juries and judges. She draws on her courtroom experience when assessing case posture and settlement options for clients.
Johns maintains memberships in several professional organizations. She is a current member of the American Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association and the Mississippi Bar Association. She also belongs to the Tennessee Association for Justice. Those memberships keep her connected to continuing legal education and developments in trial practice and civil procedure.
Colleagues describe her approach as methodical and practical. She tends to emphasize clear communication with clients and careful case management. When preparing for trial she focuses on evidence organization and witness preparation. That practical attention shapes how she evaluates litigation risks and negotiates on behalf of injured parties.
Outside the courtroom, Johns’s educational background in international relations informs how she assesses complex factual narratives and conflicting testimony. It also helps when coordinating multi-jurisdictional aspects of a case that touch both Tennessee and Mississippi courts. She continues to work at Nahon, Saharovich & Trotz Personal Injury Lawyers, representing plaintiffs in civil litigation. Her current practice focuses on personal injury and civil litigation in state and federal courts.
