About Lisa M.
Lisa M. Nommensen completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Florida, earning a Bachelor of Science in 2008. She returned to Florida for law school and received her J.D. from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2016. Those years of study laid a straightforward foundation in legal research and writing, and they led directly into her early professional associations.
She has been a member of the Jacksonville Bar Association since 2016. That local bar work has kept her connected to the legal community in Florida and to the procedural practice that many firms rely on. The association ties provided access to continuing legal education and networking opportunities as she moved from student to practicing attorney.
Nommensen began her professional practice after law school and now serves as an associate lawyer at Nooney & Roberts. In that role she handles routine and complex tasks typical of an associate attorney: drafting pleadings, preparing briefs, conducting client interviews, and supporting trial preparation. Colleagues describe her as methodical in courtroom preparation and practical in day-to-day client communications.
Her practice is licensed in Florida and her work has remained focused within the state. That local emphasis means she is familiar with Florida procedural rules and local court practices, which inform how she prepares cases and manages filings. She has applied that knowledge across the matters she takes on at the firm.
Education has continued to shape her approach. The University of Florida provided a broad undergraduate grounding, while Florida Coastal School of Law emphasized hands-on experience and trial skills in the classroom. Those training experiences show up in her attention to procedural detail and in her preference for deliberate case planning over last-minute responses.
At Nooney & Roberts she contributes as part of a team that manages a range of client matters. Her daily work involves legal research, drafting documents, and coordinating with clients and other attorneys to move cases forward. Her current practice focuses on client representation and case work handled through Nooney & Roberts.
