About Lisa A.
Lisa A. Copland built a legal path that began in the classroom and moved quickly into hands-on work. She earned a J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law in 1997, where she studied civil litigation and dispute resolution. Before that she completed a B.A. in politics at Princeton University in 1994. Those academic credentials framed an early interest in courtroom work and in teaching law to others.
Her first professional steps were at Northwestern’s Bluhm Legal Clinic, where she served as a staff lawyer in 1997 and as a clinical assistant professor in 1999.
