About Lindsey D.
Lindsey D. Granados built a legal foundation in the classroom and then carried it into courtrooms across Wake County. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Secondary Education from Oklahoma Baptist University in 2005. She went on to receive a Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in 2007. Those years shaped the practical and procedural grounding she has used throughout her career.
Her early professional steps were in private practice. In 2008 she worked at Granados Law, PLLC, where she handled a variety of matters typical of a small firm setting. That work gave her front-line experience managing cases, interacting with clients and moving matters toward resolution. In 2014 she moved into public service as an Assistant District Lawyer in the Wake County District Lawyer's Office. The shift to the district lawyer's office placed her inside the prosecutorial system and expanded her courtroom exposure.
After returning to private practice, Granados joined Kurtz & Blum, PLLC in 2016. There she continued to handle contested matters and to develop litigation skills. In 2020 she took on a senior role at The Law Offices of Wiley Nickel, PLLC. The senior lawyer title reflects years of courtroom time and case management responsibility. She has maintained active involvement in county legal circles throughout these moves.
Granados's affiliations point to a steady involvement in trial work. She has been a member of the Wake County Bar Association since 2008 and has belonged to the Wake County Academy of Criminal Trial Lawyers since 2008 as well. Those memberships indicate a professional network centered on courtroom practice and peer exchange on trial technique and procedure.
Her practical experience spans both sides of the criminal justice system and private litigation. Time spent at the district lawyer's office gave her prosecutorial perspective. Years in private firms have required her to prepare for and conduct trials, handle pretrial motions, work on plea negotiations and counsel clients through complex procedural issues. The combination of public and private roles informs how she approaches case strategy and courtroom preparation.
She is licensed to practice in North Carolina and has balanced public-service work with private-practice responsibilities for much of her career. She currently serves as a senior lawyer at The Law Offices of Wiley Nickel, PLLC, where her practice centers on criminal trial work and courtroom representation.
