About Lindsay C
Lindsay C Stella earned her law degree from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in 2009, completing a litigation concentration. She holds a B.A. from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, awarded in 2006. Those academic steps set the stage for a career that moved quickly from internship to firm leadership.
Her first legal role after law school was as a 711 practicing intern in 2009 at the McHenry County State's Lawyer's Office. The following year she joined the Law Offices of Walter R. Jackowiec III, P.C., as an associate. Within a year she changed firms again and, in 2011, became a partner at Mirabella, Kincaid, Frederick & Mirabella, LLC. That early progression reflects a practice built on litigation work and courtroom experience.
Stella is admitted to practice in Illinois and in the U.S. Northern District of Illinois. She also holds a court certification as a Guardian Ad Litem for minor children in DuPage County. Those qualifications inform much of her casework and her involvement in matters that touch both family issues and civil litigation.
Outside the courtroom she has been active in county and statewide legal groups. She has held leadership roles at the DuPage County Bar Association, serving as New Lawyer's Committee Vice Chair in 2011–2012 and New Lawyer's Committee Chair in 2012–2013. She later chaired the Entertainment Committee for the DuPage County Bar Association from 2014 to 2015. Stella also served on the Junior Board of Family Shelter Services in 2013–2014.
Her association memberships include the Illinois State Bar Association, the DuPage Association of Women Lawyers, the DuPage County Family Violence Coordinating Council, the DuPage Justinian Society of Lawyers, the Kane County Bar Association and the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois. Those memberships reflect steady participation in local bar activities and issues affecting families and courts.
Her practice is rooted in litigation experience and hands-on case management. She balances courtroom work with roles that require coordination among courts, social services and families. Her current practice centers on family law, guardianship matters and civil litigation.
