About Linda R.

Linda R. Hoak earned her law degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1998 after completing a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies, with a minor in Foreign Languages, at Excelsior College in 1995. She arrived in the profession with a combination of broad undergraduate study and a rigorous legal education. Those early years set the stage for a practice that spans two state jurisdictions.

Hoak has been a member of the State Bar of Texas since 2007. She is admitted to practice in both Colorado and Texas and has maintained an active presence in the region’s legal community for more than two decades. In 2008 she became the owner of her own practice, operating under the name Linda R. Hoak, Lawyer at Law. That step gave her control over the direction of the practice and over how clients are served.

Her career path shows a steady course rather than rapid jumps. After law school she moved into private practice and built a practice that would later be anchored by her own firm. During that time she handled matters across state lines and developed experience working within the rules and procedures of more than one jurisdiction. Her State Bar of Texas membership, which has continued since 2007, has been a consistent professional touchstone.

Hoak manages her practice from a small office arrangement and maintains a mailing address at PO Box 6927. She runs the firm as a solo owner, handling the administrative duties that come with operating a small law office as well as client work. The structure allows her to control file handling and client communications directly.

Colleges and licensing are only part of the story. Hoak’s background in liberal studies and foreign languages informs how she approaches legal problems. The combination of a broad undergraduate curriculum and a Notre Dame law degree contributed to a style of practice that is methodical and attentive to detail.

As of 2026, she continues to practice law across Colorado and Texas and to manage her firm. Her current practice focuses on legal matters arising in Colorado and Texas.
