About Linda Fermoyle
Linda Fermoyle Rice is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 1979. Her license is currently in active status. Ms. Rice is a founding attorney at Rice & Bloomfield, LLP, a law firm located in Encino, California. She has been practicing law for over 46 years, serving clients throughout the greater Los Angeles area.
Ms. Rice earned her Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, where she graduated in 1978, cum laude. Prior to law school, she completed her undergraduate education at California State University, Northridge, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 1975, with honors. During her time at Loyola Law School, she was a member of the Law Review and served as a teaching assistant.
Ms. Rice concentrates her practice in the areas of personal injury law, employment law, and civil litigation. She represents individuals and businesses in matters involving workplace discrimination, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and premises liability claims. Her practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout her career, Ms. Rice has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Los Angeles, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding her own firm, she worked as an associate at a mid-size litigation firm in Century City for five years.
Ms. Rice is an active member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, the American Association for Justice, and the Consumer Attorneys of California. She has served on the Board of Governors for the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles. Her community involvement includes serving as the Charter President of the Kiwanis Club of Warner Center in Woodland Hills, participating in the Bioethics Committee at Tarzana Hospital, and serving as President of the West Hills Neighborhood Association from 1994 to 1996. Ms. Rice is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing her to serve the diverse communities of Los Angeles County effectively.
