About Lillian S.

Lillian S. Walanka trained at DePaul College of Law, where she completed her legal studies before entering private practice. Her time at DePaul shaped a practical approach to the law. That education remains a touchstone in her work and in how she explains complex rules to clients.

Her professional path brought her into a law firm environment where she built experience advising clients and managing cases. Over the years she has taken on the everyday tasks most clients expect from their counsel: counseling, preparing filings, negotiating agreements and advocating in hearings. She has done that work inside a firm setting and alongside colleagues whose practices intersect with hers in routine and unexpected ways.

Walanka practices at Crick Walanka Law Group, Ltd. There she works with a range of clients and participates in the firm’s case intake and management processes. Her role includes evaluating new matters, guiding clients through procedural steps and coordinating with other attorneys on litigation and transactional tasks. Colleagues describe her as steady in courtroom and office settings; clients rely on clear explanations and practical next steps.

She remains connected to the broader legal community through current professional memberships. Those ties keep her informed about developments in rules, procedure and professional practice. They also offer informal forums for questions that arise from the day-to-day work of advising clients and moving matters forward.

Walanka’s daily work centers on applying law to concrete problems. She combines legal research, written advocacy and client communication to shape case strategies. Her decisions about how to proceed in a matter are shaped by the facts at hand and by what a client can realistically expect. She values efficiency in process and clarity in client conversations.

Outside client matters she contributes to the operational side of the firm, helping to refine intake workflows and coordinate staffing for complex files. That operational perspective informs how she plans timelines and allocates resources for a matter.

She currently concentrates her practice at Crick Walanka Law Group, Ltd., where she represents clients and manages their matters through resolution.
