About Liam

Liam Meehan graduated from Creighton University School of Law in 2008. He entered private practice after finishing law school and built a career spanning two Midwestern jurisdictions. He has spent his professional life working on matters that require familiarity with both Iowa and Nebraska law.

Meehan was admitted to the Iowa bar in 2011 and to the Nebraska bar in 2012. He has been an active member of the Iowa State Bar since 2011 and joined the Nebraska State Bar Association the following year. Those memberships keep him connected to developments in state procedure and substantive law in both jurisdictions.

Over the years Meehan has worked in firms that handle litigation and transactional matters across state lines. He practices at Wagner Meehan and Watson, where he represents individuals and businesses in state courts and administrative venues. His work often involves coordinating filings and strategy for cases that touch on the laws of both Iowa and Nebraska.

Colleagues describe Meehan as pragmatic and steady in courtroom settings. He favors clear written work and straightforward explanations for clients who are facing complex legal decisions. He prepares pleadings, manages discovery and presents arguments at hearings, balancing attention to detail with an eye on practical outcomes.

Outside of casework, Meehan maintains ties to the bar associations in both states. He attends continuing legal education programs and contributes to group efforts to track procedural changes and case law developments. He is known for a methodical approach to legal research and for keeping clients informed through the life of a matter.

Meehan currently practices at Wagner Meehan and Watson, where he represents clients in matters arising under Iowa and Nebraska law.
