About Leon Michael Walsh

Leon Michael Walsh Jr. built his professional foundation in the Midwest before moving into practice in Florida. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Western Michigan University in 2005 and completed his J.D. at Florida State University College of Law in 2009. Those years of study overlapped with an era of shifting legal markets, and they shaped a practical approach to legal work.

Early in his career he practiced across more than one state bar. He is admitted in Michigan and Florida, and he is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Those admissions have allowed him to handle matters at both the state and federal level. The record of courts where he is authorized to appear is part of how colleagues and clients evaluate what he can take on.

Over time Walsh has handled a range of matters that require courtroom preparation and negotiated resolution. He has experience drafting pleadings, managing discovery, and arguing motions in state and federal settings. He has worked on cases that required coordinating filings across jurisdictions and timing steps to meet differing procedural rules. His work has involved both trial-court practice and pretrial litigation strategy.

Colleagues describe him as methodical in case preparation. He approaches witness preparation, evidence review, and legal research with steady attention to detail. He tends to break complex matters into discrete tasks. That helps teams meet deadlines and keeps clients informed about the next steps. He maintains professional ties in both Florida and Michigan as part of the practical work of multi-jurisdictional practice.

His move to Church Wyble PC placed him in a firm environment that handles litigation matters and client counseling. At the firm he continues to appear in state and federal courts and to coordinate litigation activities across the regions where he is licensed. Working within a firm structure has let him manage client expectations while handling procedural demands and courtroom work.

Outside the courtroom he has maintained the sorts of professional activities common to active litigators: reviewing developments in case law, preparing briefs, and mentoring more junior staff on procedural practice. He balances those responsibilities with the firm’s caseload and the practical demands of multi-jurisdictional practice. He currently practices at Church Wyble PC, where his work centers on representing clients in matters in Florida and Michigan and in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
