About Lenae
Lenae Davis earned her Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2019. She completed law school after beginning her studies in 2016 and entered practice with a mix of private and public-sector roles. Her training at Wake Forest included traditional doctrinal courses and clinic work that introduced her to courtroom procedure and client counseling.
She joined Rausch Sturm as a compliance lawyer in 2022. In that role she reviewed policies, assessed regulatory risk, and worked on internal controls and reporting. The job demanded careful document work and attention to statutory requirements. It also required regular collaboration with colleagues across departments to align operations with applicable rules.
In 2023 she moved to the public sector as a deputy district lawyer in the 1st Judicial District Lawyer's Office. There she handled district-level matters and courtroom assignments. The position involved managing dockets, preparing filings and appearing on hearings. That year in the office sharpened her litigation skills and exposed her to the pace and practical demands of trial work.
Those experiences shaped the next step in her career. She transitioned into family law practice and joined Modern Family Law in Colorado. Her work draws on procedural rigor from the courtroom and the compliance background that helps when drafting agreements and reviewing statutes. She handles the procedural and interpersonal sides of family law practice, balancing negotiation with litigation when cases require it.
Davis is admitted to practice in Colorado. Her caseload at Modern Family Law includes divorce proceedings, custody and parenting-time disputes, spousal support matters and negotiated settlements. She approaches each file with an emphasis on clear drafting and practical problem solving. Outside the office she continues to engage with professional colleagues and maintains current memberships in legal organizations.
She currently handles family law matters at Modern Family Law.
