About Lee
Lee Steinberg began his legal path at Wayne State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1967. He continued his studies at Michigan State University College of Law and received his J.D. in 1972. Those academic years anchored a career spent largely in private practice across two states.
Soon after law school, Steinberg moved into practice and within a few years established his own firm. In 1976 he opened The Law Offices of Lee Steinberg, P.C., and has led the practice since then. Over decades he has managed the responsibilities that come with running a small firm: client intake, case strategy, courtroom preparation and the everyday demands of legal business operations.
Steinberg is admitted to practice in Michigan and Texas. He maintains active memberships in the State Bar of Michigan and the American Association for Justice. He also remains involved with the Michigan Association for Justice, where he previously served on the executive board. Those affiliations have kept him connected to continuing legal education and the professional networks that shape trial law practice.
Colleagues and longtime clients describe him as a lawyer who knows how to prepare a case for trial and how to handle the give-and-take of pretrial negotiation. His association history points to sustained engagement with trial advocacy and civil justice issues. Over the years he has combined courtroom work with the steady case management required of a solo or small-firm practitioner.
Running a firm for more than four decades has required Steinberg to wear many hats. He has balanced client-facing work with administrative duties and the mentorship of younger lawyers who have passed through the office. That mix of tasks has informed his approach to case selection and to the practical realities of litigation timelines.
Today, Steinberg continues to operate The Law Offices of Lee Steinberg, P.C. out of his established office. He represents clients in litigation and handles related civil matters, drawing on long experience in trial preparation and courtroom practice.
