About Lee F
Lee F. Berlin studied economics and military science before turning to law. He earned a B.A. from Eastern New Mexico University in 1993 and later completed his J.D. at the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2000. Those academic years set a clear path: public service and courtroom work would follow.
Berlin’s early career placed him inside federal and federal-adjacent institutions. In 2001 he worked as a lawyer for the Department of Veterans Affairs, taking on legal work that intersected with benefits and administrative issues. A few years later, in 2005, he served as a federal law clerk in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. That clerkship exposed him to a wide range of federal matters and the workings of a trial docket.
He has experience on both sides of the criminal justice system. At one point he worked in the Tulsa County District Attorney’s office. More recently, his memberships in the National College for DUI Defense and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers reflect continuing ties to criminal defense practice. He also held a role as Installation Ethics Official at NASA’s Johnson Space Center, overseeing ethics compliance at a federal installation and blending legal judgment with administrative oversight.
Berlin maintains memberships in multiple bar associations. He is a member of the Oklahoma, New Mexico and Texas bars. He also holds memberships in the D.C. Bar Association and in several national defense and DUI organizations. Those affiliations show a professional network that crosses state lines and practice areas.
In private practice he operates out of Berlin Law Office, PLLC. The office handles criminal defense work and related matters, drawing on his prosecutorial experience and federal court background. His work history—VA attorney, federal clerk, county prosecutor, and ethics official at a federal agency—gives him perspective on procedure and policy as well as courtroom strategy.
Clients and colleagues describe him as someone who moves easily between administrative matters and contested hearings. He has handled cases at different levels of government and in several jurisdictions. He continues to practice law through his firm in Tulsa and represents clients in matters across Oklahoma and neighboring states.
He currently practices at Berlin Law Office, PLLC, where he focuses on criminal defense and related legal matters.
