About Leah
Leah Cilo earned her J.D. from Temple University in 1997 after completing a master’s degree in Film and Video at the same university in 1993. She graduated from Bryn Mawr College in 1988 with an A.B. in English Literature. Those academic choices gave her a mix of analytical training and narrative sensibility. She moved from humanities study into law, carrying a foundation in critical reading and clear writing into her legal education.
Her legal training at Temple came after several years of graduate work in film. The shift to law was deliberate. She learned to scrutinize texts and to construct arguments that work on multiple levels. Faculty and peers at Temple remember her as methodical in research and precise in legal writing. Those habits carried into her early practice and shaped how she prepares matters for court or negotiation.
Cilo is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania. She serves as an associate at Martin Law LLC. In that role she contributes to client matters handled by the firm and supports trial and transactional work as required. Her position at Martin Law places her in the day-to-day business of representing clients, drafting filings, and assisting in case strategy.
She maintains memberships in the Pennsylvania State Bar Association and the Philadelphia Bar Association. Those associations provide continuing legal education and networking opportunities. She participates in bar-sponsored programs and attends seminars that keep her current on changes in state law.
Colleagues describe her as thorough and measured. Her background in English literature and film often shows up in the way she organizes narrative for pleadings and prepares witnesses. She relies on detailed analysis rather than broad assertions. That approach guides how she reviews evidence, writes briefs, and communicates with clients.
Outside the office she has stayed connected to Philadelphia’s legal community through bar activities and firm work. Her professional path combines academic breadth and practical legal training. She is an associate at Martin Law LLC, where her practice focuses on serving clients in Pennsylvania.
