About Lawrence
Lawrence Kumarasivan completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Los Angeles in 2016 and earned his J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2021. Those formative years combined a large public research university experience with a Bay Area law school education that emphasizes practical skills and clinic work. He entered the bar in 2021 and is licensed to practice in California.
After law school, Kumarasivan joined Structure Law Group, LLP as a lawyer. In that role he has worked on a range of matters for clients in state-level matters. His work at the firm has involved drafting legal documents, advising clients on statutory and regulatory questions, and appearing in hearings and negotiations on behalf of clients. Colleagues describe him as methodical and thorough in preparing cases and legal analyses.
Kumarasivan holds active membership in the State Bar of California, a status he has maintained since 2021. That membership allows him to represent clients throughout the state and to participate in continuing legal education and bar-related programs. He has used those opportunities to stay current on developments in California law since his admission.
His legal training at USF School of Law informed a pragmatic approach to problem solving. At UCLA he studied liberal arts and cultivated skills in research and writing that later proved useful in law school and practice. The combination of those academic experiences shows in the way he structures legal arguments and communicates with clients and opposing counsel.
At Structure Law Group, LLP, Kumarasivan works alongside other attorneys on client matters and contributes to the firm’s case preparation and client counseling efforts. He is involved in client intake, factual investigation, and drafting pleadings and transactional documents when required. He has handled a variety of procedural and substantive tasks, adapting them to the needs of individual clients and matters.
Outside of court and the office, Kumarasivan continues to follow developments in California law and participates in professional activities through the State Bar. He is based in California and represents clients there. His current practice focuses on representing clients in matters handled through Structure Law Group, LLP.
