About Lawrence
Lawrence Boesch took a deliberate path into law. He began with philosophy, earning a Bachelor of Arts from The Catholic University of America in 1969 and a Master of Arts from San Francisco State University in 1974. He later turned to legal study and received his J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law in 1983, where his coursework included real estate and commercial law as well as criminal litigation.
After finishing law school, Boesch entered private practice. By 1986 he was working as an associate in various law offices. Those early years gave him exposure to a range of matters and to the practical side of running files, working with clients and appearing in court when necessary.
Boesch’s law school subjects — real estate, commercial law and criminal litigation — continued to mark his work. He handled transactional matters and contested cases at different points in his career, balancing document drafting and negotiation with court appearances. The combination of civil and criminal training has kept his practice varied and adaptable.
In more recent years he accepted a role in Long Beach. From 2021 to 2022 he served as a senior associate lawyer at the Law Offices of Gary R Carlin APC. In that position he worked on client matters for the firm, contributing to case preparation, client counseling and litigation support. The role followed decades of prior work in other offices and reflected a return to a structured firm setting after many years in smaller practices.
Boesch also has experience operating independently. His offices listing indicates periods of self-employment, and he has spent time running his own practice and handling the full cycle of client matters. That solo work included intake, case strategy and coordination with outside counsel when necessary.
He is licensed to practice in California and continues to work in the state. His background combines university-level studies in philosophy with law school training and decades of practice across transactional and litigation matters. He is currently self-employed in California and handles real estate, commercial and criminal matters.
