About Lauren C.M.
Lauren C.M. Sheppard built her legal foundation at Trinity College, where she completed a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Legal Studies in 2004. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Suffolk University in 2007. Those years of study gave her a basic command of legal doctrine and an understanding of law’s role in public life.
After law school Sheppard gained admission to practice in both Massachusetts and Hawaii. That dual admission has shaped the way she approaches matters. It requires fluency in two different state systems and an ability to adjust strategy to local rules and procedures.
Her career has ranged across courtrooms and administrative forums. Colleagues describe her as methodical in preparation and straightforward in courtroom presentation. She has handled contested hearings and negotiated resolutions outside of court. Over time she has balanced litigation tasks with counseling clients on compliance and process.
Sheppard maintains ties to professional organizations and remains an active participant in the bar community. Those memberships keep her in contact with peers across jurisdictions and provide a steady forum for discussing changes in the law. She has attended conferences and CLE programs to stay current on developments that affect practitioners working in more than one state.
In practice she values clarity. She aims to explain options plainly and to lay out likely outcomes in a way clients can use when making decisions. That approach informs how she prepares pleadings and how she conducts client meetings. It also shapes how she works with other lawyers, experts, and staff to move cases forward.
Sheppard now practices at Sterling & Tucker, LLP. Her work draws on experience in Massachusetts and Hawaii and on a background rooted in both legal study and practical courtroom experience. She currently practices at Sterling & Tucker, LLP, where her work centers on matters arising in Massachusetts and Hawaii.
