About Lauren Ashley
Lauren Ashley Vizar built her early legal experience inside a law school clinic. She handled real cases while still a student, then moved into a string of roles that placed her in front of clients and in courtrooms across the region. She blends courtroom work and client counseling in a practice shaped by years in immigration-focused organizations.
Vizar earned her Juris Doctor from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 2016. During law school she worked in the school’s Immigration Law Clinic, gaining hands-on exposure to client intake, drafting and advocacy. That foundational year informed the next steps of her career and gave her practical experience before she entered private practice.
After graduation she joined the Law Office of Theodore N. Cox as an associate in 2018. The following year she moved to Atlas:DIY as a senior staff lawyer, where she handled cases for individuals navigating the immigration system. In 2020 she took on a supervising lawyer role at The Door, overseeing legal services aimed at young clients. A 2021 stint as an associate at Claudio & Associates, PC added firm-side litigation experience to her portfolio.
In 2023 Vizar founded Vizar Law, PLLC. She established the firm to provide direct representation and counsel to clients in New Jersey and New York. Her practice reflects years working in clinics, nonprofit settings and private firms. Those varied environments shaped how she approaches client work and case strategy.
Vizar is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York. She holds memberships in the Brooklyn Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association, both since 2022. Those affiliations keep her connected to local court developments and national immigration practice trends. Colleagues describe her as methodical and client-focused in intake and case preparation.
Her work centers on immigration law. She has experience advising individuals on pathways to lawful status and representing clients before immigration authorities. She spends her days preparing petitions, handling hearings and managing case files for clients across state and federal forums. Vizar remains based in the region where she has practiced for a decade and continues to build her practice through Vizar Law, PLLC, representing clients in New Jersey and New York.
