About Laura
Laura Still studied at the University of Southern California before earning her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law in 2007. She moved into practice in Arizona after law school and built a practice shaped by work in elder, probate and trust matters. Her legal training and early career choices point to an interest in the kinds of disputes and planning questions that arise around estates and later-life planning.
Her career has combined courtroom work, transactional matters and community involvement. She is active in the State Bar of Arizona’s Probate and Trust Section and in the State Bar’s Elder Law and Mental Health Section. Those memberships reflect regular engagement with the procedural and ethical issues that affect guardianships, conservatorships, probate estates and trust administration. Across those matters she has handled petitions, contested hearings and negotiated settlements, as well as drafting estate planning documents and advising fiduciaries.
Colleagues consider her a familiar presence in the local bar. She serves as a vice president of the Maricopa County Bar Association, a role that puts her in contact with judges, practitioners and court administrators across the county. She also maintains a connection to the wider community through service at the Phoenix Art Museum. That mix of civic and professional activity informs how she approaches client problems. She balances an understanding of local court practices with a practical sense of what clients need to resolve a matter efficiently.
Her practice operates out of offices in Scottsdale and Sun City. Working in two different communities exposes her to a broad cross-section of clients, from urban residents with complex asset structures to retirees who live year-round in the Sun City area. That geographic reach allows her to handle matters that range from simpler estate administrations to more complex trust disputes and elder law issues.
Within the practice she places emphasis on clear communication and procedural competence. She spends time preparing hearings and explaining options so clients know what to expect in court or during negotiations. She also works with other professionals when cases require financial, medical or psychological expertise.
She is licensed to practice in Arizona and remains active in the state bar sections and county bar association where she holds leadership responsibilities. She currently practices in Arizona, handling probate, trust and elder law matters.
