About Laura
Laura Robbins earned her J.D. from Wayne State University in 2000 after completing a B.A. in Criminal Justice at Michigan State University in 1996. She moved from the classroom to the courtroom on a steady timeline. Those two degrees laid out a clear path into practice in Pennsylvania.
Early in her career she worked as a staff lawyer at MidPenn Legal Services in 2003. There she handled day-to-day responsibilities typical of a regional legal services office, gaining direct experience with client intake, case preparation and court filings. The role offered exposure to a broad range of civil matters that affect everyday lives.
In 2011 she launched Laura Robbins Law, LLC and assumed the role of owner and lawyer. Building a solo practice required shifting from the structures of a public service office to the demands of running a business as well as a law practice. Since then she has overseen casework, client communications and the administrative operations of her firm.
Robbins has remained active in professional circles throughout her career. She joined the Pennsylvania Bar Association in 2003 and became a member of the Centre County Bar Association in 2011, retaining both memberships through the present. Her affiliations complement an on-the-ground practice and provide regular contact with peers and local legal developments.
Outside the office she has participated in fundraising for the Muscular Dystrophy Association beginning in 2011. That volunteer work has run alongside her professional life and reflects a longstanding engagement with community causes. She is also commissioned as a Notary Public for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, a credential she maintains in connection with her practice.
Those experiences — public interest work at MidPenn, running a private firm and bar association involvement — shape the contour of her professional profile. Her work is grounded in Pennsylvania practice and the procedural realities of state courts and administrative processes. She brings together courtroom experience, client-facing work and firm management in her day-to-day legal work.
She maintains a solo practice in Pennsylvania where she continues to provide legal services and serves as a notary public.
