About Laura
Laura Richardson graduated from Dartmouth College in 2009 and earned her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2012. Her time at UVA coincided with a period of intense classroom and clinic work. She left law school prepared for client work and courtroom practice.
Richardson began her legal career as an associate at the Law Offices of Mark M. Childress. In that role she worked on day-to-day client matters and supported courtroom preparation. The position gave her early experience in case management and direct client contact.
She later joined Varghese Summersett, where she became a Senior Association Lawyer. At Varghese Summersett she took on larger caseloads and supervised elements of case strategy. Her responsibilities included drafting pleadings, attending hearings, and coordinating with other attorneys on multi-stage cases.
Her career path reflects steady movement into more complex family law matters. She practiced in Texas and handled disputes that required attention to both legal detail and family dynamics. Colleagues describe her as methodical in preparing records and careful in parsing statutory language. She approaches legal problems in a way that emphasizes clarity and preparation.
