About Lara A
Lara A Wilcox earned a B.A. in Communication and Spanish from Western Washington University in 2002 and a J.D. from Gonzaga University School of Law in 2010. Her academic path included practical work during law school, a period that informed her subsequent moves into practice and court work.
Her early legal roles began in support positions. She worked as a legal assistant at Luvera Law Office in 2003 and served as a Rule 9 intern at Gonzaga University Legal Assistance in 2008. After law school she launched a solo practice under the name Law Office of Lara A. Strandberg in 2011. That in-house start was followed by a mix of associate and lawyer positions across a range of firms: Law Office of Joseph E. Blumel, III, P.S. in 2012 as a paralegal/associate, Kirkpatrick & Startzel, P.S. in 2013 as an associate, Craig Swapp & Associates in 2014 as an associate, GLP Lawyers, P.S., Inc. in 2016, Ledger Law Office in 2017, and then Otorowski Morrow & Golden, PLLC beginning in 2019.
Her career shows steady movement through small and mid-size practices and a range of responsibilities. She holds admission in both Washington and Idaho and maintains membership in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Washington. Those admissions reflect familiarity with both state and federal procedures, and she has handled matters in front of judges in those venues.
Wilcox has participated in several bar and professional groups. She has been a member of the Washington State Association for Justice since 2012 and of the American Association for Justice since 2016. At the county level she is active in Spokane County and, more recently, in Tacoma Pierce County and Kitsap County bar organizations. She served as vice chair of the Spokane County Bar Association Solo and Small Practice Section from 2017 to 2019 and was a trustee of the SCBA Young Lawyers Division from 2012 to 2016.
Colleagues describe her as methodical and practical in court preparation and client work. She applies years of trial-adjacent and courtroom experience to client files and to mentorship roles within local bar groups. Her resume shows a mix of litigation support, courtroom practice, and small-firm operations—skills she brings to cases today.
She currently practices at Otorowski, Morrow & Golden, PLLC, where she represents clients in matters brought in both state and federal courts.
