About Lani

Lani Wilenkin built the foundations of her legal career in Michigan. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Development from Oakland University in 1997 and completed her Juris Doctor at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 2000. Those years shaped her approach to practice: practical, procedural, and attuned to the needs of litigants and organizations alike.

After law school, Wilenkin entered private practice and quickly moved into roles that required courtroom experience and client management. She became a partner at Feldheim & Wilenkin, P.C. in 2004. That position anchored her career and established her as a steady presence in the firm’s work. Colleagues describe her as methodical and exacting in handling matters that require careful legal analysis and courtroom readiness.

Wilenkin is an active member of the Michigan State Bar Association, a membership she has maintained since 2000. She is admitted to practice in Michigan and has expanded her practice into the federal system. Her admissions include the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri. Those credentials allow her to carry cases from state trial courts to federal forums and to handle matters that proceed to appellate review.

Her work at Feldheim & Wilenkin involves litigation practice and representation in both state and federal proceedings. Over more than two decades of practice she has tried cases, prepared appeals, and managed pretrial litigation tasks. She handles procedural and evidentiary questions in court and works directly with clients to develop case strategy. Her role as partner includes supervising litigation teams and guiding case preparation from initial pleadings through trial or resolution.

Wilenkin’s educational background in human resource development informs how she manages client relationships and internal team dynamics. The combination of HR training and legal education gives her a perspective on workplace matters and the operational aspects of client organizations when those issues become part of litigation.

Colleagues and clients rely on her for steady courtroom presence and consistent legal work. She maintains an active practice at Feldheim & Wilenkin, P.C., appearing in state and federal courts and handling litigation matters in the jurisdictions to which she is admitted.

Her current practice focuses on litigation and courtroom representation in Michigan and the federal districts where she is admitted.
