About Lance
Lance Williams studied criminal justice at Loyola College and earned a Bachelor of Arts in the subject. He chose a path that moved from structured public service to courtroom work. The classroom gave him foundational knowledge; later roles put that knowledge to the test.
His early career includes military service. Records show he served in the United States Army and held the rank of sergeant in 1987. The discipline of military life remained a thread through his later legal pursuits, shaping how he approached case preparation and client contact.
Williams took steps toward the law through hands-on training in a prosecutor’s office. In 2011 he worked as an extern at the Mecklenburg County District Lawyer's Office. That placement exposed him to the practical demands of public legal work. He assisted on matters that required attention to procedure and clear courtroom presentation.
Outside of offices and courtrooms, Williams joined professional organizations that reflect an interest in trial practice. He has been a member of the National Trial Lawyers Association since 2014. Membership there indicates ongoing engagement with litigation topics and peer networks that center on trial advocacy.
His résumé lists Minicklaw P.C. as the firm where he currently practices. The firm appears multiple times in public office listings tied to his name. Williams practices in an environment that combines firm-based representation with the skills he developed in military service and during his time in a county legal office.
The arc of his career ties a criminal justice education to practical roles in government and private practice. He moved from military rank responsibility to an externship in a county legal office and then into longer-term membership in national trial circles. That sequence has informed how he prepares for hearings and trials and how he advises clients.
He currently practices at Minicklaw P.C., where he focuses on litigation and trial work.
