About Lance
Lance A. Maningo is an attorney based in Las Vegas, Nevada, specializing in criminal defense, personal injury, and business law. He was admitted to the Nevada State Bar in 1997 and has been actively practicing law in the state since then. Born in San Diego, California, Lance spent his formative years in Denver, Colorado. His academic journey began at the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he earned his undergraduate degrees in 1993. He then pursued an MBA at the prestigious University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business.
Returning to CU-Boulder, he completed his Juris Doctor in 1997, laying the foundation for his legal career. After relocating to Las Vegas in 1997, Lance began his legal practice with the firm Edwards, Hale, Sturman, Atkin & Cushing. This experience provided him with a solid grounding in various areas of law. Subsequently, he joined Alverson, Taylor, Mortensen, Nelson & Sanders, further honing his skills. In 2002, he co-founded Bellon & Maningo, Ltd., where he served as managing partner until 2016 — Under his leadership, the firm gained a reputation for effective legal representation. In 2016, he established his own firm, Maningo Law, focusing on representing the injured, the accused, and businesses in need of legal assistance.
Throughout his career, Lance has handled over 70 criminal trials, achieving numerous not guilty verdicts and favorable plea negotiations. His experience in personal injury law has resulted in securing more than $26 million in settlements and verdicts for his clients. His business law practice encompasses corporate formation, risk management, and litigation, addressing the diverse needs of businesses in Nevada. Notably, in 2016, he represented Acrylic Tank Manufacturers, obtaining a remarkable $7 million jury verdict in their favor, showcasing his ability to navigate complex legal challenges. Lance's professional achievements have not gone unnoticed. He holds the Martindale-Hubbell AV rating, which reflects his high ethical standards and professional excellence.
Additionally, he has received a perfect 10 rating from AVVO, further solidifying his reputation in the legal community. Outside of his legal practice, Lance is deeply involved in the Nevada Attorneys for Criminal Justice (NACJ), where he serves as an executive member and former president. Residing in Las Vegas with his wife, Kim, and their four children, Lance enjoys spending quality time with his family, exploring culinary experiences, and indulging in his focus on golf.
