About Lance Howard

Lance Howard Meyer is an attorney who practices in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. He earned his J.D. from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2005 after completing a B.A. in economics at New York University in 2002. Those academic years supplied a foundation in both legal doctrine and the economic concepts that often underlie disputes and transactions.

After law school, Meyer built his practice around private client work and small firm practice. He eventually opened his own firm and now serves as owner and principal of the Law Office of Lance H. Meyer, Esq., PLLC. Running a solo practice has required him to manage both legal strategy and the daily operations of a law office. He handles intake, case management and client communications himself, and oversees any other staff or outside counsel involved in client matters.

Meyer is admitted to the bars of Connecticut, New Jersey and New York. He maintains memberships in the American Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association. Those affiliations keep him connected to colleagues across jurisdictions and provide access to continuing legal education and professional resources.

Colleagues describe Meyer as methodical in his preparation. He tends to favor clear, straightforward analysis. In practice this means he focuses on identifying the core legal issues early and then proceeding through discovery and negotiation with an eye toward practical outcomes for clients. He has experience managing the procedural demands that come with cases spanning more than one state. That experience informs how he sets timetables and communicates expectations to clients.

His office is located at 3 Dakota Drive, Suite 300. From that base he manages matters across his admitted jurisdictions and maintains availability for consultations and filings in state and local courts. Meyer keeps current on rules and procedure through bar association programs and other professional development.

Meyer’s practice is structured around his private firm, where he handles matters for individuals and entities that require counsel licensed in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. He continues to serve clients through the Law Office of Lance H. Meyer, Esq., PLLC, handling work across those three states in keeping with his admissions and professional memberships.
