About Lacey

Lacey Richmond began her academic journey in the Houston area, earning a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies from the University of Houston–Clear Lake in 2008. She returned to the same campus for graduate work and completed an MBA in 2011. She then pursued legal training at South Texas College of Law, receiving her Juris Doctor in 2014.

Those credentials point to a steady progression from legal theory into professional practice. The combination of an undergraduate legal-studies degree, a business master’s, and a law degree suggests an interest in how law and commerce intersect. After law school, Richmond entered the Texas legal market and has been admitted to practice in the state. Her professional path has kept her rooted in Texas courts and regulatory environments.

Colleagues describe the value of having both business and legal perspectives on client matters. Richmond’s MBA gives her a working vocabulary for financial and organizational issues. Her law degree supplies the analytical tools to handle statutory and contractual questions. She draws on both strands when advising clients, drafting documents, and assessing risk.

Her work has involved translating complex legal concepts into practical options for people and organizations. That often means breaking down statutes, contract terms, and compliance requirements so decision-makers can act. Richmond’s background in legal studies proved useful early in her career, while the MBA helped when matters turned to corporate structure, finance, or strategic planning. She works with clients across a range of routine and specialized matters, helping them identify legal priorities and next steps.

Richmond maintains a practice based in Texas. She balances litigation preparedness with transactional planning and counsel. Her current practice involves counseling clients on matters that sit at the intersection of business and law, drawing on both her MBA and her legal training.
