About L. Reed

L. Reed Bloodworth built a legal career that moves from large-firm practice to running his own firm. He earned a B.S. in Business Administration and Finance from Wingate University in 1998. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida in 2003. Those credentials set a foundation for work in civil litigation and courtroom practice.

Bloodworth began his post-law school career in Florida litigation shops. In 2004 he joined Ringer, Henry, Buckley & Seacord, P.A., where he handled early trial and pretrial matters. The following year he moved to Dean Mead, expanding his litigation experience on matters that required both courtroom time and negotiated resolutions. Those early roles exposed him to a steady mix of client counseling, discovery disputes, and dispositive motion practice.

In 2013 Bloodworth joined Morgan & Morgan, P.A. as part of The Business Trial Group. There he was part of a team that handled commercial disputes and business-related litigation. The job added another layer of trial experience and put him into high-volume case management and coordinated litigation efforts. It also sharpened his approach to case planning and witness preparation, areas that recur in his later work.

In 2017 he left to start Bloodworth Law, PLLC. As founding partner he moved from being one of many lawyers on a case to overseeing case strategy and firm operations. The firm handles business disputes, trial matters and other civil litigation. Colleagues and opposing counsel describe his style as straightforward and pragmatic; he focuses on outcomes that match clients’ objectives and the realities of litigation.

Bloodworth is admitted to practice in Florida. He keeps a practice that reflects both his early large-firm training and the practical demands of running a smaller firm. That combination informs how cases are staffed, how discovery is managed, and how trial readiness is developed. Outside the courtroom he has been involved in bar and local legal circles, maintaining professional connections that support his practice.

Today Bloodworth leads Bloodworth Law, PLLC, where he manages client matters and oversees litigation strategy. He currently concentrates on business litigation and trial work at Bloodworth Law, PLLC.
