About L. Bruce
L. Bruce Swiren built a legal career that traces back to a mix of business training and late entry into law school. He earned a B.S.B.A. in Marketing and Computer Systems from the University of Florida in 1968, then returned to academia to complete a J.D. at the University of Miami School of Law in 1978. The gap between degrees gave him a broader view of business and technology before he began practicing law.
After law school, Swiren secured admission to the Florida bar in 1981. Over the years he added federal admissions that include the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. Those credentials allow him to represent clients in both state and federal forums.
He has maintained an active membership in The Florida Bar since 1981. That long-standing membership reflects steady engagement with the regulatory framework governing lawyers in Florida.
