About Kyle
Kyle Knizner earned his Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law in 2016 after completing a Bachelor of Arts in history and sociology at Texas A&M University in 2012. He moved through law school into practical roles that gave him early courtroom exposure and experience in case preparation. His academic background supplied a mix of historical context and social analysis that he carried into legal work.
He began his legal career in clerking roles. In 2013 he worked as a law clerk at Oldenettel & McCabe Law Offices, followed by a 2014 clerkship at Faulk, Barchus, P.L.L.C. After earning his J.D., he took a contract position in 2016 at Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Sorrels, Agosto & Aziz. He transitioned into associate positions over the next several years, serving as an associate lawyer at Lowenberg & Kumar in 2017, at Criaco & Associates in 2018, and at Sorrels Law in 2021. Those roles covered a range of responsibilities typical of litigation practice, including case investigation, legal research, drafting pleadings, and assisting with courtroom preparation.
Knizner maintains memberships in a number of legal organizations. He is a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and the Houston Trial Lawyers Association. He also belongs to the Houston Young Lawyers Association, the Houston Bar Association, and the Aggie Bar Association. These affiliations connect him to the trial community and local bar activities and provide avenues for continuing legal education and professional networking.
His practical experience spans the phases of civil litigation. Across clerkships, contract work, and associate positions he has worked on discovery, motion practice, deposition preparation, and client meetings. He has been involved in trial preparation and has supported courtroom proceedings. Colleagues describe his approach as workmanlike and attentive to procedural detail, favoring thorough preparation over flash.
Knizner is licensed to practice in Texas and continues to work in the state. He handles litigation and trial matters as part of his current practice, applying the trial-oriented experience he developed early in his career to ongoing case work.
