About Kyle I.

Kyle I. Cannon earned his Juris Doctor in 2003 from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. He completed his legal studies after several years of undergraduate work and entered the practice of law in Tennessee. The law school years left him with a firm grounding in procedure and an appreciation for courtroom advocacy and client counseling.

He has built his career in Tennessee. Over time he moved into private practice and joined Glassman, Wyatt, Tuttle & Cox, P.C., where he serves as an attorney. His work there involves advising clients, drafting legal documents, and representing parties in proceedings before state authorities and tribunals. He is known around the office for a steady approach and willingness to tackle detailed research tasks.

Colleagues describe him as methodical and pragmatic. He breaks complex problems into discrete steps and focuses on getting the fundamentals right. That approach shows up in his day-to-day work: careful preparation of filings, attention to procedural deadlines, and clear explanations for clients who are often encountering legal processes for the first time.

Outside the firm, Cannon maintains professional ties within the Tennessee legal community. He participates in local bar activities and attends continuing legal education programs to stay current on changes in state law. Those connections help him keep pace with evolving practice standards and the procedural shifts that influence litigation and transactional work in the state.

His practice is rooted in the mechanics of lawyering. He spends considerable time reviewing statutes, drafting pleadings, negotiating agreements, and preparing witnesses. He also supports more senior attorneys on larger cases and takes primary responsibility for smaller matters. The result is a mix of courtroom preparation, client advising, and document work that is familiar to many in small- and mid-sized firm practice.

As of 2026 he continues to work at Glassman, Wyatt, Tuttle & Cox, P.C., practicing in Tennessee and handling a range of matters for clients there. He currently focuses his practice on matters arising under Tennessee law and representing clients before state authorities and courts.
