About Kristina S
Kristina S Crump built her legal foundation at the University of Kansas School of Law, earning her Juris Doctor in 2009. She arrived in practice after a period of work that included local community roles. The law degree set a clear path, but her early work in community services shaped how she approaches clients today.
Her career began in community-focused positions at the East Central Kansas Economic Opportunity Corporation. She served as Franklin County Coordinator in 2008, then moved into the role of Director of Case Management in 2011. Those positions required hands-on problem solving. They put her in direct contact with clients facing housing, employment and financial instability. That background informed her transition to private practice.
Crump entered private practice as a lawyer at Wiesner & Frackowiak in 2013. A year later she became a partner at Coons & Crump LLC. The move to partnership came quickly. It reflected a period of steady professional progression and a shift from nonprofit case work to courtroom and client representation. Her time in both settings gives her a range of perspective few attorneys gain so early.
She maintains memberships in several professional organizations. She joined the American Bar Association in 2016 and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Lawyers in 2017. These affiliations place her in contact with peers who handle consumer bankruptcy matters and related areas of creditor-debtor law. She has remained active in those groups through continuing education and attendance at association events.
Crump’s practice combines courtroom experience and client-facing case management skills. Her earlier roles mean she is accustomed to explaining complex procedures to people under stress. She represents individuals in bankruptcy and related consumer matters, handling filings, negotiations and hearings. She also assists clients who need practical guidance on budgeting, creditor communication and post-bankruptcy planning. Her work at Coons & Crump reflects both the procedural demands of bankruptcy practice and the human side of financial distress. She currently practices at Coons & Crump LLC, where her work centers on consumer bankruptcy and related matters.
