About Kristina
Kristina Kell moved from studying literature to practicing law. She holds a J.D. from the University of La Verne College of Law (2010) and earned undergraduate degrees from California State University, Los Angeles, where she studied English literature, and from the University of Southern California. That combination of liberal arts and professional training shapes the way she approaches legal problems: careful reading, clear writing and attention to detail.
Kell completed law school in 2010. After earning her degree she pursued a legal path in California, where she is licensed to practice. Her coursework and early training gave her the tools to work in dispute resolution. That period also reinforced an interest in processes that resolve conflict outside the courtroom.
Her day-to-day practice centers on mediation. At Modern Divorce Mediation, LLC she helps parties work through separation and divorce issues. She spends time preparing clients for sessions, running mediation conferences and reducing agreements to clear, enforceable terms. Her method is practical. She breaks complex financial and parenting questions into manageable pieces so the people involved can make informed choices.
Kell also commits time to pro bono work. She serves as a volunteer for Ventura County Legal Aid, Inc., assisting clients who might otherwise have limited access to legal help. That service takes a variety of forms, from intake interviews to helping draft documents. It keeps her connected to community needs and to the day-to-day realities many families face.
Colleagues describe her as someone who values careful preparation. She favors direct conversations and clear written explanations. Outside mediation sessions she continues to refine her approach through practice and cooperation with other professionals in family law and related fields. She currently practices mediation and family law at Modern Divorce Mediation, LLC.
