About Kristin
Kristin Kemnitzer earned a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Stanford University in 2006. She went on to law school at the University of California, Berkeley, where she received her J.D. in 2011. Those years shaped a career that has stayed anchored in California’s state and federal courts.
After law school, Kemnitzer entered practice in the state where she was educated. She is a current member of the California State Bar and is admitted to practice in California as well as in the Northern and Eastern Districts of California. Those admissions have allowed her to take cases in both trial courts and federal forums.
Kemnitzer is a partner at Kemnitzer Barron & Krieg. As a partner she has taken on responsibility for managing cases and guiding litigation strategy. Her work involves drafting pleadings, arguing motions and representing clients in courtroom settings. Colleagues describe her as methodical in preparation and steady under pressure.
Her caseload has included matters that require coordination across state and federal rules. That practical experience has meant frequent interaction with opposing counsel, court personnel and experts. She has handled pretrial litigation activities and contested hearings in multiple jurisdictions where she is admitted.
Outside her practice duties, Kemnitzer maintains active standing with the California State Bar. She participates in the professional activities that keep lawyers current on procedural and substantive developments in the law. That engagement supports the day-to-day work she performs at the firm and informs how she approaches evolving legal questions.
She practices from the offices of Kemnitzer Barron & Krieg. There, she supervises litigation matters and collaborates with colleagues on complex filings. She represents clients in both state and federal courts and manages matters through trial stages when necessary.
She currently practices at Kemnitzer Barron & Krieg, where she litigates matters in California state courts and in the Northern and Eastern Districts of California.
