About Kristian T.F.

Kristian T.F. Terison earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Maine School of Law in 2013. He completed a law school curriculum that emphasized procedural practice and client advocacy. Classwork and clinics there introduced him to administrative law and benefits litigation, areas that figure prominently in his later practice.

After law school, Terison built a practice that spans both immigration and veterans law. He is admitted to practice before the Executive Office of Immigration Review and is licensed in Maine. He also holds the necessary accreditation to represent veterans before the Department of Veterans Affairs and to appear before the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. Those credentials have shaped the cases he takes and the forums in which he appears.

Terison handles a range of matters tied to those tribunals. In immigration proceedings, he represents clients in administrative hearings before EOIR. In veterans matters, he prepares claims and appeals for submission to the VA and, when warranted, files appeals to the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. He works through procedural filings, evidentiary development, and oral argument when cases reach adjudicative stages.

His work requires regular interaction with federal and state administrative systems. That means compiling medical and service records, drafting position papers, and preparing witnesses for hearings. He also advises clients on eligibility and deadlines that affect appeals and motions. The practice is detail-oriented and often follows strict regulatory timetables.

Terison is an attorney at Jackson & MacNichol. At the firm he continues to represent individuals in immigration and veterans benefits matters. He appears in hearings and prepares appeals when cases move beyond the initial administrative level. His current practice focuses on representing clients in immigration proceedings before EOIR and on veterans benefits claims and appeals before the VA and the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.
