About Kirk
Kirk Angel built a legal path that blends courtroom experience and administrative enforcement. He trained in philosophy before turning to law, then spent years moving between public service and private practice.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the University of North Carolina at Asheville in 1992, and a master’s degree in philosophy from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1997. He completed his legal studies at the University of Tennessee College of Law, receiving a J.D. in 1997. The combination of philosophical training and legal education shaped a methodical approach to argument and analysis.
Angel began his legal career as an associate at Burkhalter, Rayson, & Associates, P.C., joining the firm in 1997. That early period in private practice provided exposure to civil litigation and client counseling. In 2001 he moved into public service as a trial lawyer for the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. At the EEOC he handled litigation and administrative proceedings enforcing federal laws prohibiting employment discrimination. The role required courtroom preparation, witness examinations, and navigation of agency procedures.
In 2005 he founded The Angel Law Office, PLLC. Establishing his own firm allowed him to apply trial and administrative experience to a private-client setting. His practice reflects years of hands-on litigation and involvement in federal enforcement matters. He has worked on both sides of disputes that move from administrative filings to court dockets, and he draws on that background when advising clients about litigation strategy and procedural choices.
Angel is licensed in Tennessee and North Carolina. He maintains an office in Concord, where he continues his private practice. The office serves clients across his admitted jurisdictions and handles matters that draw on litigation, trial preparation, and administrative law experience.
Across more than two decades in the law, Angel’s career has moved from philosophy classrooms to courtrooms and agency hearings. He brings the skills developed in each setting back to his practice at The Angel Law Office, PLLC. He practices from his Concord office, serving clients in Tennessee and North Carolina.
