About Kimberly Michelle Player
Kimberly Michelle Player Washington earned her law degree from Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2008 after completing undergraduate studies in political science at Southern University in Baton Rouge in 2004. Her academic path combined an interest in public affairs with formal legal training. It set the stage for a career that has moved between private practice, corporate support roles and contract legal work.
She opened her own practice in 2008, the Law Office of Kimberly P. Washington, where she handled matters typical of a solo practitioner. That early experience required juggling client development, case management and courtroom work. In 2010 she took on roles outside solo practice that broadened her exposure. In 2012 Washington joined Hewlett Packard Company as a case administrator. The role gave her a view of litigation and claims handling from the corporate side. It also demanded a different set of organizational skills than solo practice: coordinating large volumes of documents, managing timelines and interfacing with outside counsel. Three years later she moved back into a law firm setting as Managing Senior Lawyer at the Law Office of Bryan Fagan. That position expanded her supervisory responsibilities and returned her to hands-on client work and litigation oversight.
Her professional affiliations include membership in the State Bar of Texas, where she is listed as a current member. Her career to date straddles both individual counsel work and institutional legal support. She has handled direct representation as well as roles that required coordinating teams, workflows and client communications. The variety of positions on her résumé — from solo practitioner to contract lawyer, corporate case administrator and senior lawyer in a law firm — reflect a practice that has adapted to different legal environments and operational demands.
