About Kimberly L.
Kimberly L. McCabe pursued undergraduate study at Denison University beginning in 1999 and earned a B.A. in 2003, majoring in psychology and communications. She moved on to Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2003 and completed her J.D. in 2006. Her academic background pairs social science and communication training with legal education, a combination that informs how she approaches client matters.
McCabe began her legal career in 2007 at Steven D. Gertler & Associates. She returned to practice under the McCabe name in 2008 at McCabe & McCabe. Those early years established her in general practice and gave her courtroom experience. In 2014 she joined Cordell & Cordell, an experience that placed her squarely in family law practice settings. She was with Roberts Means, LLC in 2018 before moving to Hollingsworth Roberts Means, LLC in 2019.
Across those roles she has handled domestic relations work and related litigation. Her practice has involved divorce proceedings, child custody and parenting-time disputes, child support and spousal maintenance issues, and the division of assets. She also works on post-judgment matters and enforcement issues. She represents individual clients through negotiation and contested hearings, and she combines advocacy in the courtroom with attention to practical solutions for clients’ lives.
She is admitted to practice in Indiana and Illinois. McCabe has been a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association since 2014. That affiliation places her among colleagues who handle a range of civil and domestic matters. She maintains professional contacts developed over a career that spans private practice and roles at regional firms.
Colleagues describe her as steady under pressure and procedural in approach. She has handled both negotiated settlements and contested trials. Her work often requires managing complex financial information and navigating family dynamics while meeting court deadlines. Clients encounter a lawyer who emphasizes preparation and clear communication.
McCabe practices at Hollingsworth Roberts Means, LLC. She continues to work on family law matters for individuals and families. Her current practice focuses on family law.
