About Kimberly
Kimberly Kuchel trained first as a business student. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Morningside College before turning to law at the University of St. Thomas, Minnesota School of Law. Her path through two Midwestern campuses gave her both a commercial and legal grounding, a combination she has applied in practice ever since.
Her bar admissions span three neighboring states. She is admitted to practice in Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota. She also holds current memberships in the State Bar of Iowa, the State Bar of Nebraska and the State Bar of South Dakota. Those memberships reflect steady involvement in the organized bar across the region rather than a single-jurisdiction practice.
Kuchel’s early career included work that required careful attention to procedural detail and client communication. She learned the pace of law offices and the rhythms of court calendars. Colleagues describe her as pragmatic in the manner she approaches cases and matters. She favors clear explanations over legal jargon when speaking to clients and opposing counsel.
Her practice has required juggling matters that cross state lines. That has meant briefing multiple sets of rules and appearing before different tribunals. It has also meant advising clients about where matters may best be heard and what practical steps to take when a dispute touches more than one state. She combines the analytical skills from her law school training with an understanding of business priorities developed during her undergraduate studies.
Kuchel maintains professional ties in each of the states where she is admitted. She attends bar events and participates in forums that address legal developments in the Midwest. Those activities keep her current on changes to court procedures and statutory updates that affect clients in Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota.
She is currently based at Bauerly & Langel. At the firm she handles a range of matters that require multi-jurisdictional attention. Her daily work includes preparing legal documents, advising clients on procedural choices, and representing them in filings and hearings when required.
She currently practices at Bauerly & Langel, where she represents clients and manages matters across Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota.
