About KiKi Maria
KiKi Maria Mosley earned her B.A. from Denison University in 2000, where she studied sociology, anthropology and Black studies. She went on to attend Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology. There she completed her J.D. in 2010 and earned certificates in International and Comparative Law and in Public Interest Law.
Her entry into legal practice began before graduation, when she served as a law clerk in 2009 for Scott M. Beller & Associates. After passing the bar, she joined the same firm as an associate in 2010 and handled matters assigned by the firm. A year later she started her own practice. In 2011 she opened the Law Offices of KiKi M. Mosley and has run it since then.
Mosley is admitted to practice in both Illinois and Louisiana. She has maintained professional ties across the Midwest through membership in the Chicago Bar Association and a long-standing relationship with the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Her work with the AILA Chicago Chapter has been particularly consistent. She has been a member of the chapter since 2009 and in 2014 took on the role of Asylum Office Liaison Co-Chair, a position she holds currently.
Public service has been part of her practice rhythm. Since 2012 she has taken pro bono cases through the Legal Assistance Foundation of Chicago. Those volunteer matters have included client intake, representation in hearings and coordination with local service organizations. Colleagues describe her as the kind of lawyer who balances casework with community-oriented projects.
Her academic credentials—especially the certificates in international and public interest law—inform the caseload she pursues. The Asylum Office liaison role points to sustained involvement in asylum and related immigration matters. Over time her practice has folded in both individual representation and administrative liaison efforts, and she has worked with clients from a range of backgrounds and immigration situations.
Mosley runs a small office that places emphasis on direct client contact and practical case management. She continues to participate in professional associations and in local pro bono networks. Her current practice focuses on immigration law, including asylum and related matters.
