About Kevin
Kevin Webb trained on the West Coast and finished law school in the Midwest. He earned a B.A. in history from the University of Southern California in 2010. He then attended Washington University School of Law, where he received his J.D. in 2013. Those years shaped his appetite for litigation and public service, and they set the stage for a steady climb through small firm practice and volunteer work.
His early post-law school work began in private practice. In 2014 he joined JCS Law—John C. Schleiffarth, P.C.—as a lawyer. The role put him on day-to-day matters that required managing clients and courtroom preparation. In 2016 he moved to Fischer & Byrne, LLC as an associate, where he handled a range of tasks typical of mid-sized firm practice, from discovery to brief-writing. Those positions gave him hands-on courtroom experience and a practical understanding of case management.
Beyond paid work, Webb has sustained a steady volunteer presence. Since 2014 he has served as a volunteer lawyer for Volunteer Lawyers and Accountants for the Arts. He has also held membership in the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis since 2013. Those connections kept him tied to professional networks and to cases serving individual and nonprofit clients.
He is admitted to practice in Missouri and to appear before federal appellate panels, including the Eighth Circuit and the Federal Circuit. That combination of admissions reflects work spanning state court matters and federal appellate work. It also means he can carry contested matters from trial courts into appellate review when necessary.
In recent years Webb shifted into solo practice. The move allowed him to take direct responsibility for client intake, case strategy, and litigation workflow. Running a one-person office required him to juggle client counseling, motion practice, and administrative duties. He now handles those tasks himself rather than delegating them through a firm hierarchy.
Clients and colleagues describe him as steady and pragmatic in approach. He favors clear written advocacy and practical courtroom preparation. He stays active in the local bar and in arts-related legal aid through ongoing volunteer commitments. He maintains admissions that allow him to work in Missouri courts and in federal appellate forums. He currently operates as a solo practitioner and manages a litigation-oriented practice focused on matters in state and federal courts.
