About Kevin

Kevin Walker moved from studying the past to practicing law in the present. He approaches cases with an eye for detail and an interest in how facts fit together. His background in history shaped the way he assesses evidence and tells a client's story. He pairs that perspective with legal training and day-to-day work in a firm setting.

Walker earned his bachelor’s degree in history from Asbury College. He went on to the University of Louisville, where he completed his Juris Doctor. His coursework combined doctrinal study and practical training. The transition from history seminars to law school classrooms gave him a sense for chronology and context, tools he uses in legal research and case strategy.

He practices at Jan Dils Lawyers at Law. At the firm he performs the routine tasks that accompany client representation: preparing filings, reviewing records, and meeting with clients to evaluate options. He spends time in the office drafting, and he spends time outside it testing arguments. Colleagues describe him as someone who prefers clarity over flourish, and who organizes facts so they can be used effectively in pleadings or at trial.

Walker’s work relies on legal research, written advocacy, and negotiation. He has taken on responsibilities that require compiling records, evaluating potential claims, and explaining complex matters in plain terms to clients. He prepares evidence and written submissions carefully. When matters move toward hearings, he works to present clear, understandable narratives for judges or opposing counsel.

Outside of the core tasks of litigation and client counseling, Walker pays attention to process. He tracks deadlines and manages case files to keep matters moving. That organizational focus helps clients know where a matter stands and what steps remain. He adapts to shifting priorities in active cases and coordinates with support staff to keep document flows steady.

He is currently practicing at Jan Dils Lawyers at Law, handling a range of client matters and contributing to the firm’s day-to-day legal work.
