About Kevin O.
Kevin O. Hagan studied philosophy before turning to the law. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Providence College in 1994. Five years later he graduated from Roger Williams University School of Law, receiving his J.D. in 1999.
After law school he built a practice that spans both Rhode Island and Massachusetts. He is admitted to practice in those jurisdictions and has worked in matters that require appearances in state courts across the region. He maintains an office at 105 Memorial Blvd and meets clients there for consultations and case preparation.
Colleagues describe Hagan as methodical in his approach. He breaks complex questions into discrete issues and addresses them directly. That style shows up in written work and in oral advocacy. He emphasizes clear explanation for clients and practical next steps when a case moves from negotiation to litigation.
Hagan’s training in philosophy informs his legal work. It sharpened his capacity to analyze arguments and to spot gaps in opposing positions. Those skills are useful whether preparing pleadings, taking depositions, or advising clients about settlement choices.
Over time he has handled a variety of matters that arise in the two states where he is licensed. He adapts to procedural differences between Rhode Island and Massachusetts courts and helps clients understand how those differences affect timing, costs, and likely outcomes.
Outside the courtroom he spends time preparing briefs and other filings that require careful attention to the rules of procedure and evidence. He also places importance on communication. He aims to keep clients informed about milestones and options as cases develop.
In his current practice Hagan focuses on representing clients in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. His work centers on delivering day-to-day legal services, managing litigation tasks, and advising clients on procedural and substantive legal questions.
