About Kevin Lee
Kevin Lee McNamara is a family law attorney based in North Palm Beach, Florida. He has been practicing law for over 25 years, focusing on family law, divorce, business law, foreclosure defense, real estate law, arbitration and mediation, domestic violence, and landlord-tenant disputes. He is a member in good standing with The Florida Bar, having been admitted in 1997. His firm, McNamara & McNamara, P.A., offers comprehensive legal services in these areas. Mr. McNamara earned his Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law in 1997, following a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education from Florida State University in 1992. During law school, he completed a full-time criminal internship program, prosecuting offenders on behalf of the State Attorney in the 1st Judicial Circuit, Pensacola, Florida.
He also earned top honors (Book Award) for Florida Dissolution of Marriage while at Florida State University College of Law. Before establishing McNamara & McNamara, P.A., in 1998, Mr. McNamara litigated family law and support matters on behalf of indigent clients at the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County. He also worked as an associate attorney at Avis & Avis, P.A. His firm was established as a husband and wife legal team providing representation and counsel in family law, small business formation and representation, real estate contracts and litigation, foreclosures, quiet title actions, landlord and tenant disputes. McNamara has lectured at professional seminars on alimony, child support, and interstate jurisdictional issues affecting enforcement of out-of-state orders by private attorneys under the Uniform Interstate Family Support Act (UIFSA). He has significant experience in interstate jurisdictional litigation. He has been an active member of state and local bar associations, serving on the Judicial Relations Committee and Professionalism Committee of the Palm Beach County Bar Association. He has also served as the Vice-Chair of the Family Law Practice Committee and on the Family Law Continuing Legal Education Committee. Additionally, he is a founding member of the Collaborative Divorce Team, Inc., a Florida non-profit corporation seeking to promote the collaborative divorce process as an alternative to acrimonious divorce litigation. In addition to his legal career, Mr. McNamara has significant experiences outside the practice of law.
He is an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Air Force, served as a police officer for several years, and taught mathematics in an inner-city middle school. These diverse experiences have contributed to his knowledge of the legal issues his clients face.
