About Kevin L.
Kevin L. Miller is an Oklahoma-educated attorney whose career spans more than three decades of private practice and courtroom appearances. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University of Oklahoma in 1982 and completed his Juris Doctor at Oklahoma City University School of Law in 1985. After law school he moved directly into practice and began his career as an associate at the Stipe Law Office.
Miller's bar involvement dates to 1985, the year he joined the Oklahoma Bar Association and became active in local and national professional groups. He is a long-standing member of the Oklahoma County Bar Association and the American Bar Association. In 2018 he added membership in the National Academy of Elder Law Lawyers, reflecting an engagement with legal issues affecting older adults.
His practice includes appearances in both state and federal forums. He is admitted to practice before the courts of Oklahoma, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Northern and Western Districts of Oklahoma, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and the U.S. District Court of Nebraska. That range has allowed him to handle matters that move between state and federal jurisdiction.
Miller opened his own firm and has served as principal of Kevin L. Miller, P.C. since 1995. His resume also lists a period in 2006 when he practiced as an associate at Haupt Law Office, PLLC. The earlier years of his career included the associate position at Stipe Law Office soon after his 1985 graduation. Over time he has balanced courtroom work and client counseling, adapting to shifting demands in civil and administrative matters.
He is accredited by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, which authorizes him to represent veterans in claims before the VA. That credential is a practical one; it permits direct advocacy in administrative proceedings on veterans’ benefits and related issues. Today Miller practices under the name Kevin L. Miller, P.C. He manages a solo practice that handles litigation and administrative matters in state and federal courts, and he represents clients in veterans’ benefits and elder law issues.
