About Kevin G.
Kevin G. Patterson earned his law degree from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, completing his J.D. in 1983. He built the foundation of his practice on courtroom work and client representation that began soon after graduation. His legal training in Memphis set the stage for a long career in Tennessee courts.
He is admitted to practice in Tennessee and has remained active in the state's legal community for decades. Patterson has participated in trial work across civil and criminal dockets. Over the years he has worked on cases that ranged from serious personal injury and wrongful death claims to criminal defense matters. Those experiences shaped his view of litigation as a practical craft. He approaches cases by preparing them for trial and by testing legal theories under pressure.
Patterson’s professional affiliations reflect a mix of plaintiff and defense trial work. He holds membership in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, the National Trial Lawyers Association, the Tennessee Association for Justice, and the American Association for Justice. He also belongs to the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Tennessee Bar Association. In addition, regional recognition has come through Mid-South Super Lawyers. These associations have provided forums for trial practice development, peer exchange, and continuing legal education over the course of his career.
Colleagues and clients have known him for directness in handling evidence and for steady courtroom presence. He has litigated cases before juries and judges across Tennessee. Patterson has also spent significant time preparing witnesses, reviewing expert reports, and managing discovery in complex matters. He tends to take on cases that require detailed fact work and persistent advocacy in contested hearings.
He maintains an office in Corporate Gardens. There he manages a caseload that combines civil litigation and criminal defense. His day-to-day work involves drafting pleadings, litigating motions, conducting depositions, and trying cases when resolution is not possible. He also devotes time to staying current on trial practice developments and rules of evidence.
Patterson remains an active member of several trial-focused organizations and practices primarily in Tennessee courts. He currently maintains an office in Corporate Gardens and handles civil litigation including serious injury and wrongful death claims, as well as criminal defense matters.
