About Kevin Douglas
Kevin Douglas Hunter completed his legal education at South Texas College of Law, earning his J.D. in 2014 after receiving a B.S. from Wayland Baptist University in 2010. He finished law school at a time when many young attorneys were entering a competitive market. Hunter moved into practice in Texas and built a career concentrating on areas the local courts see frequently.
Early in his career Hunter joined bar and community groups that reflect both his legal interests and business ties. He holds memberships in the State Bar of Texas and several of its sections, including the Family Law Section and the Appellate Section. He is also active in the American Bar Association and local organizations such as the Houston Bar Association’s Family Law Section. Outside the bar, Hunter has been involved with business networks including the Houston Business Cabinet and the Midtown Business Network. Those memberships have kept him connected to both legal developments and local professional circles.
Hunter’s practice covers family law matters and appellate work in Texas courts. He appears in trial-level family law proceedings and takes appeals when cases require further review. That combination means he handles both the immediate issues that arise in divorce, custody and related cases and the procedural and substantive questions that appellate work raises. His appellate activity aligns with his association with the State Bar of Texas’ Appellate Section, which he joined in 2016.
Colleagues describe his approach as straightforward. He prepares written filings, argues disputes in hearings, and manages appeals that move through the state courts. His memberships in regional business networks reflect a practice that intersects with local business concerns, whether that involves asset issues in family law cases or contract-related appellate questions.
Hunter practices through Boudreaux Hunter & Associates, LLC. He maintains active involvement in professional groups and balances trial work with appeals. He remains based in Texas and continues to practice family law and appellate matters at Boudreaux Hunter & Associates, LLC.
