About Kerry
Kerry Kidman built a legal life rooted in Washington institutions. Her path through the University of Washington and a year on the state’s highest court set a steady tone for a long career in private practice.
She earned both a B.A. and a J.D. from the University of Washington. While in law school she served as an Article Editor for the University of Washington Law Review in 1973. The law review role came before a court clerkship that would inform the work she later did in practice.
In 1974 she clerked for the Washington Supreme Court. That year also marked the start of her time as a lawyer at Morrow Kidman Tinker PLLC. The clerkship offered close experience with appellate briefing and opinion drafting. It also gave her an inside view of how judicial reasoning is framed, a perspective she carried into subsequent matters she handled for clients.
Her private practice began in 1974 at Morrow Kidman Tinker PLLC. Over the years she worked on a broad range of matters in Washington courts. Her career combines courtroom work, research and writing, and the client-facing side of law. Those elements reflect the early mix of law review scholarship and court service that shaped her approach.
Kidman maintains active membership in the Washington State Bar Association. That affiliation keeps her connected to developments in state law and to the professional community she has been part of for decades. Colleagues and clients have regularly turned to her for steady legal work grounded in the procedural and substantive rules of the Washington bar.
She continues to practice at Morrow Kidman Tinker PLLC. Her current practice concentrates on matters arising in Washington state courts and related legal work handled through the firm.
