About Kenneth V
Kenneth V Zichi earned both his undergraduate and law degrees at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He completed an A.B. in History and Communications in 1977 and received his J.D. in 1983. Those years set the stage for a career that spans both private practice and local government service.
He has been a member of the State Bar of Michigan since 1986 and belongs to the bar’s estate and probate section. That dual affiliation reflects the areas he has worked in for decades. He also served on the State Bar of Michigan’s Law and Media Committee from 2010 to 2015, joining colleagues who address the intersection of press, speech and the law.
After law school and bar admission, Zichi moved into private practice. In 1991 he opened his own office, operating under the name Kenneth V. Zichi J.D. The small-firm setting allowed him to counsel clients on estate planning, probate matters and related issues. He built a local practice that emphasizes practical counsel. The work often involves preparing wills and trusts, guiding families through probate, and advising on guardianship and fiduciary duties.
Civic life is part of his biography. In 2000 he served as mayor of the City of Williamston, Michigan. That role placed him in the town’s center during municipal decision-making and helped forge connections between legal practice and public service. Residents and municipal officials dealt with zoning questions, local policy and community planning while he was in office.
His long-term membership in the estate and probate section of the bar has kept him involved in the profession’s discussions about probate procedure and fiduciary responsibilities. Participation in the Law and Media Committee brought him into conversations about how courts, attorneys and the press interact. Those committee years ran from 2010 through 2015 and involved meetings and reporting on legal developments that touch both law and public information.
