About Kenneth
Kenneth Gold began his legal path at Wayne State University, where he completed a Bachelor of Arts in 1984 and stayed on to earn his Juris Doctor in 1987. He moved from student life into practice in Michigan, carrying the academic grounding from Detroit into a career that has spanned litigation, estate matters and tax issues.
After law school he entered private practice and by 1995 was associated with Mies & Gold, PC. That period gave him hands-on exposure to probate and estate planning work, and to the procedural demands of handling estates in Michigan courts. He built experience advising executors and trustees and handling the paperwork courts require.
In 2001 he opened his own firm, Gold & Associates, P.C. Running a small firm changed the work rhythm. He took on a mix of client counseling, estate drafting and estate administration. The practice also handled contested probate matters when disputes arose among heirs or beneficiaries. Over time he developed steady work representing clients before state probate tribunals and assisting families through the steps of estate settlement.
Gold holds a Certificate of Admission to Practice before the United States Tax Court. That credential is useful in matters where federal tax questions touch an estate or trust. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and has belonged to its Probate and Estate Planning Section since 1987. Those affiliations have kept him connected to section publications and continuing legal education on evolving probate rules and tax issues that affect estates.
He is admitted to practice in Michigan and maintains an office at Gold & Associates, P.C. His practice includes probate administration, estate planning and trust matters, as well as representation on tax questions that arise in estate and trust contexts. He continues to handle client work from that office, combining courtroom experience in probate matters with counsel on drafting wills and trusts and advising fiduciaries on their duties.
